Rare species of fossil dragonfly from Lower Cretaceous, Chrysogomphus beipiaoensis.

This dragonfly has an exceptionally large wing span of 15cm comparing to a regular 8cm of modern day dragonfly, and it preserved very good venation detail in the wings. A rare specimen.

Minor restoration to this dragonfly at the end of the abdomen and tip left wing. The colour of this specimen is completely natural, not painted.

Due to its fragile nature, resin has been applied to the back of the thin slab for reinforcement.
