Nimravidae is an extinct family of carnivorans, sometimes known as false saber-toothed cats, whose fossils are found in North America and Eurasia. Not considered to belong to the true cats (family Felidae), the nimravids are generally considered closely related and classified as a distinct family in the suborder Feliformia.

This genuine Nimravidae skull fossil (false saber-toothed cat) has been professionally prepared and restored to museum quality. Nimravidae is even more rare than saber-toothed cat. It is characterized by its extra long saber tooth.

This large skull measures 25cm from front to rear in straight line. Its has a pair of strong saber tooth. A protective layer has been applied on the surface to avoid it to absorb moisture.

Only ship to EUROPE. Double-boxed to maximize protection; Due to the fragile nature of large and heavy fossil, please accept minor damage of the fossil on arrival.
